"Where to?"

"Why, to the North Pole of course, this is the Polar Express!"

We took the boys on the Polar Express last weekend. To prepare them I read them the story and we watched the movie the week before we went. The train looked just like the one in the movie. We too our adopted family Kaye and Nathan with us. We boarded the train and the adventure began. The waiters served us hot chocolate and cookies. They sang and danced up and down the isles. They read the story to us as we road along. One waiter had a great time joking around with our boys. He entertained them the whole trip. It was a 30 minute trip to the North Pole, where Santa boarded and rode back to the depot with us. He gave each of the kids a special bell. We all sang Christmas Carols on the trip back. The boys had a great time!

Nathan's Christmas Play

Nathan's school puts on a Christmas program every year. The 4th and 5th graders all get to perform. This year is was called Elfis At the North Pole. Nathan dressed as an elf and sang in the chior. They all did a great job!

Christmas in the Mall

Nathan's piano teacher Mrs. Norris had all her students play Christmas Music in the mall on Saturday. Nathan played Silent Night and Joy To The World. He did a great job!

The "NEW" Candy House

Introducing, the new and improved Candy Holiday House...... Let me start by saying I HATE gingerbread houses. Ours always falls apart, and is a mess to decorate. When I say this kit at the store, it was a must by. My boys still get to experience the holiday decorating, and mom gets a stress free activity! It is a win, win! Joshua even made the comment that he was excited because he can eat this house! Wow, what a concept, eat a candy house! I never let them eat the other ones, because they were always as hard as a rock! Thank you Kellogg's!

Festival Of Lights

Our family and the Otis family (minus Chris, we missed you) went to the annual Festival of Lights in Natchitoches, Louisiana last weekend. It was SO SO cold! I actually had to pull the winter coats out of the attic. We ate a nice dinner at Merci Beaucoup, and then watched the firework show. It was a 30 minute firework/light show. The boys had a great time and it was a great start to our holiday season.
