Nathan's Piano Recital

Nathan had his first piano recital this past weekend. He has had piano competitions where he has played in front of judges, but never a recital where he had to play in front of an audience. He was nervous! He told us afterwards that he about had a heart attack; however, he did a fantastic job! He played two songs from memory, "Frightful Night" and "Feelin Good". He is progressing so fast and is playing so well. His teacher Mrs. Norris is doing a wonderful job. He also received three awards for superior performances is past piano rally's (competitions). Way to go Nate!

Major Cardon

Jared is now a Major! His pinning on ceremony was Friday. As you can see he was very happy. He also found out this week that he passed his boards. Yeah! He is now a Board Certified Endodontist. (This may not seem like much, but most practicing endodontists aren't board certified and never become board certified.) He has been working very hard to get this. We are so proud of him. Way to go Major Cardon!!!!!

Barksdale AFB Air Show

With as many Air Force Bases we have lived at, you would think that we would have seen an air show, but this was our first. As you can see the boys were in heaven, especially Nathan. We went to a night show on Friday night. That was going to be it, but the boys talked their dad into taking them back on Saturday. Mom stayed home...too hot and humid, not my idea of fun! As you can see they were very hot, but they didn't care!

What a hottie!

Okay, not so cute, but I had to post this because a few of you don't believe that I am actually biking. After some coaxing from some friends here in Louisiana, Jared and I have decided to take the plunge and try out biking. We have talked about getting into this for a long time, and decided why not! I have been riding 3 days a week, along with my friend Kaye. We started slow, but are gradually working up. Today we rode 60 miles! We are training for a century ride (100 miles) in August. I am really enjoying it! Jared however, needs to get on the ball. He has been SO busy that he has not had time to do much riding. I am going to leave him in the dust!

Now, no comments about how sexy I look in these bike shorts! Hopefully by the end of this training my thighs and butt will be skinny!
