Joshua decided last minute he wanted "Funky" hair for Crazy Hair day at school! So I used what I had, hair glue and sparkly glitter spray! It worked, and he was happy!

Grandma comes to town....
My mom was on Spring Break, and she decided to come to Alaska....who goes to Alaska on Spring Break? Thanks mom!
We had TONS of fun!
We went to the Bear Tooth, a dinner movie theater. We saw Big Miracle and ate a yummy dinner.
She did some sewing for me and made me some really cute pillows for my couches!
We did lots of shopping and even bought me some cute new dishes. It was time to get rid of the old ones that we have had since we got married 17 years ago!
We ate at Olive Garden and then Grandma, Nathan and I went to see Hunger Games. Josh got to hang out at work with Jared, fun for him!
We drove to Talkeetna and got a great view of Mt. McKinley.
It was a great week!
Jared's Turn
Jared will kill me for this post, but I have to document it somehow! Just as I was recovering from my surgery, it was time for Jared to go under the knife. Does this mean we are getting old? He had a deviated septum that he got repaired. He got two weeks of of work, and after recovering at home under the care of his loving wife, he is back to work and breathing better than ever!

Nathan's debut....
Do we have a Track star in our future......
Nathan is doing Track and Field at his school. He has done well. He does the long jump, and with his longs legs he is jumping far. He also runs the mile (1600) and the 800. He is definately more of a long distance runner, he knows how to pace himself and push it at the end. Great job Nate!
Easter
Look what the Easter Bunny brought us...... MORE SNOW! But, we broke the record, so know we can say that we lived in Anchorage when it got the MOST snow on record!!!!

The Eater Bunny was TOO tired to hide eggs this year, but atleast he left something! We even got out the china for dinner.

Look who turned 10!
Joshua turned 10 today! I can't believe my baby is ten years old! He was afraid his Birthday would be ruined because it was testing day at school, but we all made sure it wasn't. As you can see he had a great day!

Breakfast was pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage and strawberries (and NO I don't cook like that every morning!) Dinner was his favorite, cheese ravioli with alfredo sauce, caesar salad, and breadsticks (He wanted to go to Olive Garden, but the wait is still too long, so we improvised and made it at home.)

I wasn't going to make him a cake, because we had one for his birthday party last week. This morning while he was making his bed, he said to Jared, "Dad this will be the first birthday that I don't have a cake!" Well, guess that can't happen! I ran to Cold Stone and got him one. He was way excited!
He was happy with his new waders and fishing rod, and can't wait to try them out!
