We took the kids to Hillberg one day. We met up with the Napoleon's, so Josh had a great time skiing with Kaulani. It was cold, but we had a great time!

Christmas Fun!
We had a great Christmas this year!
Lots of fun presents....clothes for Nathan, a new violin for Josh, new pots and pans for me, and a new gun for Jared. The hit was the over sized bing bag for the family....who would have thought!
And of course a yummy breakfast....
That night we went to the Napoleons for dinner...crab legs and steak. It was incredible! We ate till we were stuffed! We also broke out their new karaoke machine....quite a night!Christmas Eve
We hosted two Christmas Eve parties this year...what can I say, we love to party!
We had a bunch of families over on Christmas Eve's Eve for appetizers and games. Each family brought a minute to win it type game. We competed as families. It was a lot of fun and everyone's true colors came out. The Oldham Family took home the prize!
We also exchanged white elephant gifts. There was some unique and strange gifts, and we got some good laughs. It was a great night! On Christmas Eve, we had a Polar Express Party. We ate breakfast foods, had a hot chocolate bar, hung out in our jammies, decorated cookies, and Jared read the story to the kids. Everyone went home with their first gift of Christmas...bet you can't guess what that was!
And of course, Christmas Eve jammies!

Promotion
Jared has been selected for Lt. Col. They held a promotion dinner at the hospital for all those who are promoting. I helped organize it (and got stuck cutting the cake).
Our Music Genius?
Joshua is participating in Orchestra this year. This was his Christmas Concert at school. His good friend Kaolani is also playing the violin. He chose to play the violin. We decided if he was going to do it, we would also put him in lessons....so piano has kind of gone on the back burner and he is loving violin....he is getting better!
6th Grade Immigration Day
Joshua has been studying Immigration at school. Joshua was a Mexican Immigrant. They had an "Immigration Day". It was a simulation of what it would have been like to come to America in the early 1900's. They arrived by boat, Josh was in steerage, and made their way to Ellis Island, where they were put threw different stations. There was a baggage station (where there bags were checked and some of there stuff stolen), a medical stations (fun test here like jumping on one leg, etc.), a interview station (where they were grilled as to where, why, what and how) and a passport station. Some were even deported. It was a fun day and I got to help!
