Fun Times in UTAH

The boys and I flew to Utah for Thanksgiving this year. They get the whole week off of school, so it made for a fun vacation. Jared joined us a little later. We spent one morning riding 4-wheelers and the Rhino. As you can see it was a little cold, but the boys were so happy!

We had a fun "cousin" sleep over at Aunt Jessica's house. Nate is such a trooper with all of his "younger" cousins. He gets right in there and has fun.
My boys, especially Josh, had been praying for snow for a good month before we got there. So when we heard "The Blizzard of 2010" was coming, we all got excited. Well, it wasn't much of a blizzard, although it did put some snow down and bring in lots of COLD temperatures. This didn't faze Nate and Josh though, they played outside for hours.
For Family Home Evening we went to BYU and saw the Carl Block exhibit. It was amazing! After we all headed to Brick Oven for some yummy pizza and pasta!

And then most importantly BYU games. Nathan and I got to go to the BYU/New Mexico football game. ( I forgot my camera, so no pictures of that one) and then Joshua got to go to a BYU basketball game with his cousins and Grandpa and as you can see he had SO much fun!
After a fun week, we drove back to Louisiana. It was quite the road trip. We got to stop and visit some friends in New Mexico, eat at our favorite resturant in Albuquerque "El Pinto", and then view lots and lots of nothing for miles on end in Texas. The best was the cotton fields!

Life Goes On....

Jared had Veteran's Day off, and both the boys had Veteran's Assemblies at school. Joshua was so excited that Dad showed up in his military uniform. Nathan is in the Choir this year and as you can see he isn't too excited, although Jared said he did a great job!

Saturday started early with the opening of the duck hunt, and boy were they excited.

Later that night, Nathan had his first Stake Youth Activity/Dance (with our church group). It was in Texarkana, so it was also a late night. Since Jared is Young Men's President, Nathan had to put up with Dad tagging along, with camera in toe. And since Mom was out of town, he also had to put up with Joshua tagging along. He was a great sport.

North Carolina

I just got back from a great vacation to North Carolina. Jared was the best husband and stayed home with the boys, while I went to visit our best friends ever: Jen, Riley, Lauren, Isabelle and Clayton. They recently moved to Winston-Salem. The weather couldn't have been better and the leaves were GORGEOUS! I miss this! This is Old Salem, and it was just beautiful! It reminded me of the time we lived in Virginia.
We had a great time, shopping (a little too much), eating (a little too much), and catching up.
Don't you just L O V E these kids.

Thanks Stringham Family for a great vacation!

H A L L O W E E N

The boys dressed up Saturday for our Church Fall Festival. Nathan really didn't want to dress up this year, but decided to do a little bit. We spray painted his hair black and got him some "spooky" contact lenses. These were the hit of the party. Every one wanted to see them and find out where he got them. He thought he was pretty cool!

Joshua wanted to be a RoBoT, so we got online and found a picture. This is what we came up with....kinda sad, but he loved it.
Sunday for Halloween we had the missionaries over. They did a great lesson on putting on the "Whole Armor of God", with costume and everything.

Our Egyptian Architect

Nathan had to build a pyramid for his Social Studies class. He wanted to build it out of something edible, so he could eat it in class.
