We LOVE this kid!

Joshua turned 9 years old....

He has grown up so fast. He is our happy boy, he wakes up happy, goes to bed happy, does chores happily, plays with his brother happily, goes to school happily, and everything in between. He ALWAYS has a smile on his face! (If I could only be like him!)

WE LOVE YOU JOSH! Happy Birthday

He wanted "Grandma Lee's" German Chocolate Cake for his birthday. We were going to try and have a "friend" party, but we just don't have any free weekends to do it, so we celebrated extra hard. He wanted to go to Texas Road House for Ribs, so we went a few nights before his actual birthday. Because he had school and soccer games on his birthday, we celebrated on Sunday. He chose barbecued hamburgers, fries and tatter tots, and baked beans for dinner. (Thanks Kaye for bringing fruit, the only healthy thing!) He got everything he wanted: scripture stickers, remote control helicopter, nerf gun, legos, and a mug with a picture that he drew on it. It was a great 3 day celebration!

SPRING BREAK

*Sorry for picture overload*

The boys wanted to go on a cruise for Spring Break, they got Dallas, and here is the rundown....

What would it be without a stop at CABELAS......

In Fort Worth, they have a park called "Water Gardens" right in the center of the city. The boys had a great time climbing, exploring and being boys. The water wasn't on in the main pool, but it was still very beautiful!

We took the boys ice skating at the Galleria Mall. They skated for 2 1/2 hours. They had a great time and had sore muscles and blisters to prove it. Mom didn't skate, she went shopping!

Looking down from above....they are the only ones on the ice!
Dinner at PF Chang's.....SO GOOD!
Swimming at the hotel. Nathan decided to dabble in steroids, and this was the outcome.......

Jared and I were able to spend some time at the Dallas Temple.
While Jared was at the temple, the boys and I hung out at Barnes and Noble. We love this place.
We had a great vacation!

So Proud!

Joshua drew this picture on Art class at school. They were asked to draw something that represents the state of Louisiana. He titled his work "The Louisiana Swamp". He was chosen to represent 3rd grade. He was so excited! If you look close you will see that he drew the swamp, a hovercraft, and a man sitting on his porch with a guitar....a true representation of the South!

We have a WOLF in our house!

Joshua's Blue and Gold Banquet was Saturday. The scouts had to make a "scouting themed" cake " with their dad's for the dinner. Jared and Josh decided on a Grizzly Bear cake.....can you tell their minds are on Alaska! They worked hard and did a great job!

Joshua was SO proud! He said it was the best cake ever!

Joshua received his "Wolf" badge. He has been working really hard. He also got a gold and silver arrow. Way to go Josh!

Mudbugs

We took the boys to a Mudbugs game. (The local hockey team) We all had fun, but I must say Josh "rocked it". He was the best fan. He yelled, danced to the music, and cheered them on. It was so fun watching him.

Fun Weekend

We took a trip to Little Rock, Arkansas this past weekend. Jared's sister, Melissa lives there and her son, Wyatt was getting baptized. The boys were so excited to go play with there cousins and they had a blast. Grandpa and Grandma Cardon and Aunt Alice Jean were also there. It was a fun family weekend.
