The Ranch

My sister Katie's in-laws have a great piece of property which is named "The Ranch". There is a small pond, with a diving board, trampoline, kayaks, canoes, paddle boat and lots more. They have a big covered pavilion with tables. It is a great place for parties, and we had plenty of those while there. One night we had a big seafood fry. LOTS and lots of food and plenty of shrimp and crab legs. My boys beg to go over to "The Ranch" all the time, so we usually spend a lot of time there. They have so much fun. Their big accomplishment this time was the diving board. Joshua jumped off and swam all the way across the pond and Nathan did a flip off.

Fun to catch up! We are once again among the living. It was fun to see Jared at church before we left Iowa. You guys have had a action-packed summer! Long Beach, CA is just up the coast a little bit and your cruise looked like fun. We are missing Utah this summer and are missing Iowa as well, but know that hopefully a year from now we will be embracing Southern California. Hope your family is well and our door is open if you ever make it to Orange County. (btw-congratulations on Alaska, right? -- I am having a hard time remembering this summer.)

Maybe if we had some land like that our summers here would be more fun. Minus the alligators and snakes.

Oh, so fun! That was a blast last year. I can just see your boys eating up every minute of that lake!
